When the valley is deep, When the mountain is steep, When the body is weary, When we stumble and fall, When the choices are hard, When we're battered and scarred, When we've spent our resources, When we've given our all.......In Jesus Name, we Press On.......Dear Lord, with the prize clear before our eyes, We find the strength to Press On. ~Written by Dan Burgess~

Press On
I LOVE music by Selah.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them.
I was fortunate enough to be able to even MEET them.... in person!.... in Cobourg in August 2003.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
There's something about the tight harmonies when siblings sing together. Selah consisted of siblings Todd Smith and Nicol Smith-Sponberg as well as Allan Hall. Nicol left the group (a year or two ago?) to pursue a career as a soloist, and Amy has stepped into her shoes.
Here is their song "Press On". The words are at the top of my blog (on the photo of the 5-string fiddle). This song has proven to be one that has lifted me up on many occassions.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
Oh that was goooooood music. And goooooood words. Hey, folks, keep pressin' on.
I am a Christian woman who is the full-time (or should I say 'over-time') wife of Jon and mother of Blake, Jacob, and Jared. We also have two babies who are already in Heaven. We have two Golden Retrievers, Mick & Duke, and a kitty-cat, Katarina. I also have a few boys that I consider my "adopted" sons (Matt, Billy, Brad, & Justin). Our oldest son is currently battling Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis; but the Lord's hands continue to rest on Blake, and we wait patiently for the healing. I am busy chauffeuring the boys to jobs and school events as well as the hockey rinks, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and fiddle performances (where we perform as Fiddlers Found). I am a huge fan of fiddle & bluegrass music as well as gospel & old hymns. Some of my favourite groups are Selah, The Isaacs, and The Martins. I am blessed with a loving family and wonderful friends, old and new. I am currently in the process of learning to be content in all circumstances, which is proving to be difficult by times, but by faith and the Lord's promises, I continue to "press on".
